The Telangana government has increased its budget for Minority Welfare to Rs 3,591 crore, which is Rs 600 crore more than the previous year’s allocation of Rs 2,997 crore. This marks a 19.8% increase in funding. The Rs 840 crore set aside for self-employment schemes has been highlighted as a historic step.

During his budget speech, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring the security and welfare of minorities in the state. As part of this commitment, the government plans to establish Young India Residential Schools, which will also include Minority Residential Schools from different regions.
