Former MLC and senior BJP leader Dr. Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy has strongly condemned the arrest of BJYM activists. He criticized the Congress government, led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, for having double standards regarding the sale of 400 acres of land belonging to the University of Hyderabad.
Dr. Sudhakar Reddy pointed out that before coming to power, the Chief Minister had opposed the sale of public lands by the previous BRS government. However, after taking office, he is now doing the same thing. He also accused the state government of failing to fulfill its six guarantees and other promises made during the elections.
He stated that people in Telangana are now looking at the BJP as a strong alternative. The BJP, he said, will continue to support the public and organize protests to pressure the government into fulfilling its promises. The demand to stop the sale of University of Hyderabad lands is just the beginning, and the party will stand with the people on every issue until the government takes action.
Dr. Sudhakar Reddy also demanded the immediate release of BJYM members who were arrested while protesting peacefully.
