The Board of Secondary Education in Telangana is ready to conduct the SSC public examinations starting this Friday. The education department has made all the necessary arrangements and introduced new security measures to prevent question paper leaks. This year, Class X exam question papers will have QR (Quick Response) codes and unique security numbers to improve security. Additionally, students will be given a grace period of five minutes to enter the exam hall. The exams will start at 9:30 AM, and latecomers will be allowed in only until 9:35 AM.

A total of 5,09,403 students have registered for the exams, including 4,97,341 regular students and 12,062 private candidates. The exams will end on April 4. To ensure smooth conduct, around 2,650 exam centers have been set up, and 144 flying squads will monitor the process. Students are strictly prohibited from carrying any papers except their hall tickets. Mobile phones, calculators, and other electronic devices are also not allowed inside the examination centers.

According to the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), most exams will be held from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. However, the first language composite course exam will be from 9:30 AM to 12:50 PM. The science exams are split into two parts: Physical Science (Part I) and Biological Science (Part II), which will take place on separate days from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM.

This year, students will receive a 24-page answer booklet instead of multiple sheets. This change ensures that all answers are in a single booklet, reducing the risk of pages getting misplaced or tied incorrectly. It is also expected to help prevent mass copying in exam halls.

A senior officer explained that each page of the question paper will have a QR code and a unique security number as a watermark. This will allow authorities to trace the source of any leaked question papers. If a paper is photographed, recorded, or shared on platforms like WhatsApp or social media, officials can quickly identify where it was leaked from.
