The 72nd Miss World pageant will take place in Hyderabad, starting on May 7 and ending with a grand finale on May 31. Before the event, the current Miss World, Krystyna Pyszková, began exploring Telangana by visiting the famous Yadagirigutta temple.
Krystyna described her visit to the temple of Lord Lakshminarasimha Swamy as a joyful and spiritual experience. She expressed her happiness and gratitude, saying she felt blessed. She was excited that 120 Miss World contestants would soon get to experience the beauty of Telangana. “This is just the beginning! I can’t wait to see more of Telangana and its hidden gems,” she added.
At the temple, priests welcomed Krystyna with traditional hymns and gave her blessings. The temple authorities also presented her with a framed image of Swamyvaru as a mark of respect. She participated in the ‘Akhanda Deeparadhana’ ritual and wrote her thoughts in the temple’s visitors’ book.
Miss World Limited CEO and Chairman Julia Morley, along with Telangana’s Tourism Secretary Smita Sabharwal, highlighted the government’s efforts to promote Telangana as a global tourism destination.
To attract more visitors, the Telangana Tourism Department, which played a major role in bringing the event to the state, launched the slogan “Telangana Zarur Aana” (You must come to Telangana). This initiative aims to showcase the state’s rich culture and heritage to the world.
