ASHA workers demonstrate to demand solutions to their issues

A group of Asha workers from Bellampally town staged a protest in front of the Tehsildar’s office on Monday. They were demanding that the state government fulfill its promises and address their problems.

The protesters said that they had previously gone on an indefinite strike for 15 days. At that time, the government had assured them that their issues would be resolved. However, they claimed that no action had been taken so far.

The workers demanded that their wages be increased in line with rising prices. They also warned that they would intensify their protests if their demands were not met. As part of their agitation, they planned to hold a dharna in front of the district Collector’s office on Tuesday.
