    GHMC Additional Commissioner Shivakumar Naidu has urged officials to quickly resolve public complaints received during the Prajavani programme. He emphasized that addressing the concerns of Hyderabad’s residents should be a priority. He also instructed officials to give written responses to petitioners, explaining when their issues would be resolved.

    On Monday, Naidu, along with Additional Commissioners Venugopal, Raghu Prasad, Chandrakanth Reddy, and Additional CC Gangadhar, attended the Prajavani programme at the GHMC headquarters. They listened to complaints from residents, reviewed each issue carefully, and directed officials to take immediate action.

    During the programme, GHMC received 165 complaints from different areas. At the headquarters alone, 85 complaints were registered. Among them, 36 were related to the Town Planning Department, 12 to the Tax Section, and eight to the Engineering Department. Other complaints were linked to various departments like Administration, Sanitation, Electrical, Health, and Housing.

    Additionally, 80 complaints were received from six GHMC zones. The Kukatpally Zone had the highest number with 31 complaints, followed by Secunderabad and Serilingampally Zones with 20 each. Fewer complaints came from LB Nagar, Charminar, and Khairtabad Zones.

    The Prajavani phone-in programme also received seven requests, which were forwarded to the appropriate departments for action.

    Several officials, including Additional CCP Pradeep, Water Works GM Sai Ramana, Chief Veterinary Officer Dr Abdul Vakeel, and other department heads, were present at the meeting to address the complaints.
