BJP Leaders Inspect Aija Government Hospital, Raise Concerns Over Poor Condition

Gadwal: The district president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), S Ramachandra Reddy, along with Aija town president Kampati Bhagat Reddy and other party leaders, visited the government hospital in Aija on Saturday.

During the visit, Reddy expressed serious concerns about the hospital’s poor condition. He pointed out that the building is in a dangerous state, with plaster peeling off from the ceilings in several areas. In some rooms, pieces of the ceiling have fallen on patients and staff. Additionally, during the rainy season, water leaks into the hospital, making the situation even worse. Due to a lack of maintenance, the facility is now crumbling.

Reddy criticized the authorities for their negligence. He stated that the hospital has become so weak that even basic repairs are now difficult. Many walls have deep cracks, ceiling slabs are falling apart, and rusted iron rods are visible. These issues pose a serious risk to everyone inside the building.

The poor conditions have caused fear among both patients and hospital staff. The government had earlier promised to build a new 30-bed hospital block, but the project has been abandoned, leaving the existing structure unsafe.

Reddy urged the government to take immediate action. He emphasized the need for urgent repairs to ensure the safety of patients and staff. He also demanded that the 30-bed hospital building be completed and made operational as soon as possible.
