The police dog “Hunter,” known for his exceptional service in Nirmal district, passed away on Friday due to illness.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Janaki Sharmila stated that Hunter played a crucial role in solving many criminal cases. To honor his service, a wreath was placed on his body at the district police office, and police officials observed two minutes of silence.
Hunter was actively involved in security arrangements for VIP and VVIP events. He also contributed significantly to solving murder and theft cases.
In addition to his official duties, Hunter participated in several national-level police duty meets, demonstrating his remarkable skills.
The tribute event was attended by IPS officer Rajesh Meena, Inspectors Prem Kumar and Krishna, dog handlers, and other police personnel.
