BRS candidate Dasoju Sravan Kumar has filed his nomination for the council seat under the MLA quota. He submitted his papers at the Assembly premises on Monday.

Sravan was accompanied by key party leaders, including BRS working president KT Rama Rao and senior leaders T Harish Rao, T Srinivas Yadav, Ch Malla Reddy, V Prashanth Reddy, and P Kaushik Reddy. He submitted two sets of nomination papers. The nomination scrutiny will take place on Tuesday, and candidates can withdraw their nominations until March 13. The results are expected to be announced on the same day.

However, the newly elected members will have to wait until the monsoon session to attend the council. This is because the current members will continue to participate in the house sessions until March 27, which marks the end of the budget session.

He also mentioned that if Sravan had not left the party earlier, he would have become a member of the House much sooner.
