Hyderabad in-charge Minister Ponnam Prabhakar inaugurated the new office building of the DCP East Zone in Amberpet on Thursday.
During the event, he stated that the city police are dedicated to maintaining law and order while also building good relationships with the community. This, he said, would help improve Hyderabad’s reputation. He encouraged the police to take strict action against criminals and ensure justice for victims.
Prabhakar also pointed out that Hyderabad is a growing cosmopolitan city with expanding tourism and IT sectors. He mentioned that the use of CCTV technology has made it easier to catch criminals quickly and respond strongly to crime. Additionally, he emphasized the need for police officers to be helpful and supportive to people who come to the station for assistance.
Hyderabad City Police Commissioner CV Anand spoke about the history of the DCP East Zone office. He explained that it was first established in 1982, but since moving to Amberpet, it had no dedicated office.
He added that the government has now approved the construction of a new building, showing its commitment to maintaining law and order and effectively managing crime in the area.
