BJP Leader Criticizes Telangana Congress Government
Telangana BJP Vice-President and former MLA, NVSS Prabhakar, has said that many people, especially intellectuals, are unhappy with the way the state Congress government is working.
Speaking to the media on Thursday, Prabhakar claimed that the recent victory of two BJP candidates in the MLC elections shows that educated voters are realizing the issues in the state and are supporting the BJP.
The BJP candidates, Ch Anji Reddy and M Komaraih, won in the Medak-Nizamabad-Karimnagar-Adilabad graduate and teacher constituencies. Prabhakar said this victory proves that people took ten years to see through the false promises of the previous BRS government, which misled them with its slogan “Nillu-Nidhulu-Niyamakalu.” However, he added that it took only 14 months for people to recognize the empty promises of the current Congress government under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
Prabhakar believes that the MLC election results are a strong message against the Congress government. He pointed out that a large part of the state voted in these elections, revealing dissatisfaction with Revanth Reddy’s leadership.
He also claimed that even Congress leaders are not happy with their own government. He referred to comments made by Meenakshi Natrajan, who is in charge of Telangana Congress affairs for the AICC. She expressed disappointment when she was not allowed to meet families displaced by the Musi River project during an event attended by social activist Medha Patkar.
Natrajan indirectly criticized the government, urging it to focus more on public concerns. Responding to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s accusation that Union Minister G Kishan Reddy was blocking central funds, Prabhakar said that the intellectual community has already responded by supporting BJP candidates in the MLC elections.
