MLA Distributes Study Material and Bicycles to Students

Devarakadra MLA G. Madhusudhan Reddy distributed special study materials to 10th-grade students in Ponnakal and Appampalli villages. The initiative, supported by GMR Seva Samithi, also provided bicycles to students who walk long distances to school.

During the event, the MLA criticized the previous government for neglecting the education sector. He claimed that the BRS government did not improve school infrastructure, failed to recruit teachers for ten years, and did not allocate enough funds for education.

In contrast, he praised the Congress government for prioritizing education. He highlighted that 11,062 teacher posts were filled, and nearly 19,000 teachers received promotions after 15 years. Under the ‘Amma Adarsha Pathashala’ initiative, schools were equipped with better facilities, and students received textbooks and uniforms within the first week of the academic year. Additionally, for the first time in a decade, student diet and cosmetic charges were increased.

The MLA also pointed out that the previous government failed to establish a single degree college in Devarakadra despite being in power for ten years. However, within ten months of the Congress government, a degree college was approved for the constituency headquarters, and a junior college was set up in Chinna Chintakunta Mandal.

Encouraging students to focus on their studies, he emphasized the importance of government schools. He noted that both he and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy studied in such institutions and achieved success. To help students perform better, he announced the distribution of study material with QR codes linked to textbooks for all 10th-grade students in government schools across the constituency.
