In a closely contested election, PRTU candidate Sripal Reddy emerged victorious in the Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda Teacher constituency MLC election. He defeated sitting MLC Narsi Reddy by a margin of 3,000 votes in the second preferential vote elimination process.

These included Sripal Reddy (backed by PRTU), Narsi Reddy (backed by UTF and the sitting MLC), Gali Harshavardhan Reddy (backed by PRTU-TS), Puli Sarothham Reddy (backed by BJP), and Pula Ravinder, a former MLC representing neglected sections.

Out of 25,500 total votes, 2,138 were declared invalid. Among the 23,641 valid votes, Sripal Reddy secured 9,021 votes, making him the winner. Gali Harshavardhan Reddy received 6,034 votes, while Narsi Reddy got 6,448 votes.
