    Strict Measures in Place for Intermediate Exams Starting March 5

    Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari has instructed officials to ensure a smooth and secure conduct of the upcoming Intermediate annual examinations, which will begin on March 5. She conducted a video conference on Friday with district collectors, police commissioners, and superintendents of police to review the exam arrangements.

    During the meeting, she emphasized that there should be no malpractice or copying. Strict measures will be in place, including a ban on mobile phones inside the examination centers for everyone, including chief superintendents, departmental officers, invigilators, and inspecting officials. All individuals will be checked before entering the exam centers. Additionally, Section 144 will be imposed around the centers to prevent gatherings, and police will be deployed to maintain order.

    District Collector’s Guidelines

    After the video conference, District Collector B.M. Santosh issued key instructions to officials from various departments. He stressed the importance of securely handling question papers and safely transporting answer sheets after the exams. Chief Superintendents must closely monitor the examination process at each center.

    The Collector also directed officials to ensure that all examination centers have essential facilities such as drinking water, sufficient furniture, and proper toilets. The transport department has been asked to arrange buses according to the exam schedules, and officials must ensure an uninterrupted power supply during the exams. As a precaution, photocopy centers near exam venues will remain closed. Section 144 will be strictly enforced, with adequate police personnel stationed at the centers.

    Examination Arrangements

    A total of 14 examination centers have been set up across the district, including 8 government colleges and 6 private colleges. 8,341 students will appear for the exams, with 4,057 first-year students and 4,284 second-year students.

    To ensure proper supervision, officials have appointed:
    14 Chief Superintendents
    14 Departmental Officers
    3 Paper Custodians
    1 Flying Squad
    2 Sitting Squads

    The exams will take place from March 5 to March 25, 2025, and officials have been instructed to ensure their smooth execution.

    The video conference was attended by District SP Srinivas Rao, Additional Collectors Lakshmi Narayana and Narsinga Rao, RDO Srinivas Rao, District Intermediate Education Officer Hriday Raju, District Medical Officer Siddappa, Municipal Commissioners, and other department officials.
