    Nagarkurnool MP Mallu Ravi and Wanaparthy MLA Thudi Megha Reddy held a press conference at the Wanaparthy MLA camp office on Thursday. They discussed various government initiatives and upcoming development projects in the district.

    MP Mallu Ravi stated that despite financial challenges, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s government is continuing to implement welfare schemes for the people. He criticized the previous government for leaving the state in debt but assured that efforts are being made to improve the situation.

    Regarding the recent SLBC tunnel accident, he said that 11 organizations, including the Navy and NDRF, have been deployed for rescue operations. He personally traveled 11.8 kilometers into the tunnel and described the situation as terrible. Experts from different organizations have been called in to assist, and relief efforts are ongoing. Though the Chief Minister has not visited the accident site, he is monitoring the situation closely and reviewing the relief operations daily.

    Mallu Ravi praised MLA Megha Reddy for bringing large-scale development projects to Wanaparthy. He mentioned that this will be CM Revanth Reddy’s first visit to Wanaparthy since assuming office, during which he will lay the foundation stone for works worth ₹721 crore. Among these projects is the development of the school where the CM studied. In the last 14 months, Megha Reddy has secured ₹1,000 crore for improvements in education, healthcare, and sports in the region.

    He also highlighted efforts to create employment opportunities through job fairs, loan fairs, and skill development programs. These initiatives aim to provide jobs for around 1,000 local residents. He praised Megha Reddy for his commitment to the people despite being a first-time MLA.

    MLA Megha Reddy also spoke at the event, emphasizing that this will be the first time CM Revanth Reddy is visiting his hometown after becoming Chief Minister. He stated that ₹397 crore has already been allocated for development in Wanaparthy over the past 14 months. On March 2, the foundation stone will be laid for ₹721 crore worth of projects.

    Key projects include ₹1 crore for the development of the Venkateswara Swamy Temple, ₹257 crore for the construction of a hospital, and ₹200 crore for the Young India Integrated Residential School. Additionally, ₹60 crore will be used for the development of the ZP School and Junior Art School where the CM studied. Other projects include ₹22 crore for an IT Tower, ₹81 crore for a court complex, and ₹40 crore for the Rajanagaram-Peddamandadi Road.

    MP Mallu Ravi reiterated that since CM Revanth Reddy studied in Wanaparthy, he is committed to its development. During his visit, the CM will attend the Alai Balay program at the MLA camp office, where he will meet his former classmates. He will also visit the house of Parvathamma, where he stayed during his student days.

    Several other officials, including Market Yard Chairman Srinivas Goud and DCC Rajendra Prasad, attended the meeting.
