Seven Ganja Peddlers and Two Consumers Arrested in Hyderabad
The Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force, along with the Ramgopalpet police, arrested seven people for selling ganja and two others for consuming it. The police seized eight kilograms of ganja worth ₹2.40 lakh from them.
Among those arrested were Tamata Sanjay (24), the main peddler, and Tamata Pavan (26), who helped transport and sell the drugs. Both are rowdy sheeters from Maredpally. The other peddlers caught include Jwala Deepanshu Kumar (22), Dappu Kiran Kumar (19), Koguru Naveen Kumar (22), Muthu Krishna Rohith Kumar (26), and Marpu Joel Vanshika (22).
The police also arrested two consumers, Thota Harshavardhan (27), a private employee, and Dasari Dikshit Sai Kumar (23).
According to the police, Sanjay and Pavan are cousins and have been involved in criminal activities before. Sanjay planned to buy ganja from Araku and sell it in Hyderabad to make quick money.
