With summer arriving, residents of Secunderabad Cantonment are facing a severe water crisis. Many areas are receiving water only once in five days, and even then, the water pressure is very low. Concerned about the situation, some residents submitted a letter to Secunderabad Cantonment Board CEO Madhukar Naik, requesting urgent action to resolve the issue.

Residents have highlighted that the Cantonment Board supplies around 50 to 60 lakh gallons of water per day, but this is not enough. They mentioned that the drinking water situation had started to improve, with water being provided once every three days. However, the situation has worsened again, especially in Ward-5, where residents now receive water only once in four or five days. The amount of water supplied is also insufficient, making life difficult for the people.

He said that whenever they complain to officials, they only make false promises. He pointed out that every summer, residents struggle with water shortages, yet no proper action plan has been created to solve the problem. He urged officials to take immediate steps this summer to address the crisis.
