The Indian Army’s Engineer Task Force (ETF) from the Bison Division has been sent to help rescue eight people trapped in a tunnel. This incident happened after a part of the Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) project collapsed in Nagarkurnool district. The Telangana and Andhra Sub Area are actively working together to manage the rescue efforts.

According to a defence statement, Army medical teams and engineers are using advanced equipment such as high-capacity pumps, armored hoses, excavators, and bulldozers. Their goal is to clear the debris and safely bring out those trapped inside the collapsed tunnel.

“The Indian Army is working closely with all involved to speed up the rescue operations. Our top priority is the quick and safe evacuation of those trapped,” the statement mentioned.
