Telangana Chief Minister Enmula Revanth Reddy inaugurated the Mahila Samaikya Petrol Bunk on Friday at Singaram X Road in Narayanpet district. This petrol pump is unique because it is entirely run by women self-help groups (SHGs). The project, which cost ₹1.30 crore, aims to empower women by giving them business ownership opportunities.

During the event, CM Revanth Reddy spoke about the government’s commitment to women’s financial independence. He announced plans to establish similar petrol pumps in every district by providing the necessary land. He emphasized that when women become financially self-reliant, they can improve their families’ lives and invest in their children’s future.

As part of the Indira Kranthi Patham (IKP) scheme, the government is also allowing women to manage 600 RTC buses. Additionally, the state is setting up 1,000 MW solar power parks to support women entrepreneurs. Another initiative includes introducing a uniform dress code for Women’s Federation members, with ₹1,000 crore allocated to provide two high-quality sarees to each member.
