Dr. Ananya Mohan Rao, a doctor from Hyderabad, tragically drowned in the Tungabhadra River while on a picnic with her friends.
She was accompanied by her friends, Ashita and Satwik, on Wednesday. They were staying near the river and decided to go for a swim.
Dr. Ananya jumped from a rock into the water, but the strong river current pulled her away. Her friends recorded the moment and later shared the video with her family.

The police and expert swimmers searched for her throughout the night. The next day, they recovered her body. After a post-mortem examination, her body will be sent to Hyderabad.
