The Telangana Assembly will hold special sessions from March 1 for five days. The state government plans to introduce three important bills during this session. A major focus will be on Scheduled Caste (SC) categorization and Backward Class (BC) reservations.

As part of its commitment to BC welfare, the government is proposing 42% reservations for BCs in politics, education, and jobs. These bills will be discussed in detail in the Assembly before they can become law.

Meanwhile, the Parliament session is set to begin on March 10. On the same day, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will visit Delhi to seek the Central government’s support for BC reservations. If the Central government does not approve the proposal, the Telangana government is planning to intensify its fight.
