District Collector Rahul Sharma, along with officials, trekked about 10 kilometers into the remote forest areas of Palimela and Muknoor on Monday. During the visit, he inspected forest village schools and Anganwadi centers and distributed notebooks to students.
The Collector visited several educational institutions, including an ashram school, MPPS, an Anganwadi center, and a library in the village of Timmetigudem, located on the forest border in Palimela mandal, Muknoor.
During his visit, he interacted with students and inquired about their studies, teachers’ duties, midday meals, and available facilities. To encourage the students, he distributed notebooks, pens, pencils, and exam pads, urging them to study well.
Later, he inspected a newly constructed library and assured the locals that necessary racks, chairs, and books for competitive exams would be arranged soon.
At the Anganwadi center, he listened to the children’s recitations and appreciated their efforts. When officials requested electrical facilities for the center, he assured them that proposals would be sent through the welfare officer, and necessary arrangements would be made.
