The state government is implementing several policies to make Hyderabad a greener city. The Deputy Chief Minister mentioned that cities like Delhi have faced serious environmental challenges, which forced people to migrate during certain seasons. To prevent such a situation in Hyderabad, the government is taking necessary measures.

One of the key initiatives is the gradual transition of all diesel vehicles in the city to electric vehicles. The government has also reduced registration charges on electric vehicles, despite the potential revenue loss, to encourage their use. The ultimate goal is to make Hyderabad a pollution-free city.

Vikramarka stressed that the health of Hyderabad’s residents is more important than government revenue. To support the city’s development, the state has allocated ₹10,000 crore in a single year. This is the largest budget ever set aside for Hyderabad’s growth and modernization, placing the city on a path toward becoming a leading urban center.
