Dr. BR Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU) in Hyderabad has achieved a significant milestone. On Thursday, it received the highest percentage of Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR) IDs for its students. This initiative is part of the National Education Policy – 2020 introduced by the Central government.
As per the University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines, BRAOU successfully generated APAAR IDs for 75 percent of its students. This is the highest percentage among all universities in the country.
During a meeting, Technical and Collegiate Education Commissioner A. Sridevasena stated that APAAR IDs would be created for students in all universities across the state. BRAOU Vice Chancellor Professor Ghanta Chakrapani mentioned that students were informed about the importance of APAAR IDs during the admission process. Their doubts and queries were also addressed.
In cases where technical issues arose, experts provided immediate assistance to students. Due to these efforts, a large number of students were able to receive their APAAR IDs successfully, he added.
