Forest Department Organizes Educational Tour for Students
The forest department organized an educational tour for students from Government Science Degree College as part of the Vanadarshini Programme. Range Officer Devaraju stated that 60 students were taken to the Mannanur Eco-Tourism Center on Wednesday. The department provided a bus for the trip.
At Mannanur, students visited the Forest Museum, where they learned about forest resources, wildlife conservation, and sustainable practices. They also visited the Forest Knowledge Center, where tour guide Swetha gave a digital presentation. She explained the importance of preserving forests and the role of wildlife conservation.
As part of the study tour, students went on a safari to Farahabad Viewpoint and Octopus Viewpoint. There, they gained insights into the ecological significance of the region. Range Officer Devaraju stressed that such tours help students understand the need for nature conservation and the importance of forests.
The event was attended by several officials and faculty members, including Principal Anjayya, Vice Principal Vanitha, Women Empowerment Officer Umadevi, and faculty members Dasharatham and Muzaffar.
