District Collector Adarsh Surabhi said that students can concentrate better on their studies when they have good eyesight. To help them, a free eye check-up program has been launched for students across Wanaparthy district.
Following his orders, the medical and health department conducted eye tests for students at the Zilla Parishad (ZP) government boys’ school.
Students who were found to have vision problems were given free eyeglasses. Speaking at the event, the District Collector highlighted the importance of clear eyesight for academic success.
A total of 30,000 students from 300 government schools in the district underwent eye check-ups. During these tests, around 2,000 students were found to have vision issues, and 946 of them are receiving free eyeglasses.
