The Telangana All Pensioners and Retired Employees Association in Karimnagar staged a protest on Tuesday. The demonstration took place in front of the Regional Provident Fund Commissioner’s office.
The protest was led by the association’s president, Chandupatla Janardhan. He spoke about the struggles of EPS 95 pensioners due to rising inflation. He urged both the Central and State governments to increase the basic pension to ₹9,000 along with Dearness Allowance (DA).
Janardhan also demanded additional benefits for EPS pensioners. These included travel concessions, medical assistance, and other government-related facilities.
Later, members of the EPS Pensioners Central Committee submitted a memorandum to the Regional Provident Fund Commissioner, Selwatkar Tanaiah, highlighting their demands.
