Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Airport Development Authority (HYDRAA) has intensified its crackdown on illegal advertising structures in the city, targeting Lead Space, Prakash Arts, and UNI Ads for unauthorized occupation of unipoles.
So far, HYDRAA officials have removed around 25 unauthorized unipoles across Hyderabad, which were reportedly causing financial losses to the state exchequer. Complaints have also been filed against these companies at Shamshabad and Narsingi police stations.
HYDRAA Director explained key concerns regarding these illegal advertising setups:
1. Unauthorized Occupation: Many unipoles were illegally installed, leading to revenue loss for the government.
2. Multiple Installations Without Payment: In several cases, companies paid for one unipole but occupied multiple locations.
3. Expired Permissions: Some companies continued to generate revenue from unipoles despite the expiration of their licenses.
4. Strict Action Planned: HYDRAA will deploy jaw crushers to dismantle unauthorized unipoles, resulting in monetary loss for violators.
5. Tighter Regulations Incoming: Once the HYDRAA Police Station becomes operational, the agency will intensify action against illegal advertising structures across the city.
The ongoing removal drive aims to clear the city of illegal advertisements and ensure compliance with government regulations. Officials have warned of further legal action against companies that violate the rules.
