BJP Leader Kishan Reddy Urges for 'Double Engine' Government in Telangana
Hyderabad: Union Minister for Coal and Mines, G Kishan Reddy, stated that people across the country trust Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He pointed out that the BJP has won elections in Haryana, Maharashtra, and Delhi, and now it is Telangana’s turn to bring in a “double engine” government—one where the same party governs both the state and the center.
Speaking at an event where Lankala Deepak Reddy took charge as the President of the BJP’s Hyderabad Central district, Kishan Reddy highlighted the party’s recent success in Delhi. He said the BJP secured victory there after 27 years and that people had taught Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal a lesson for making false promises and being involved in the liquor scam.
Kishan Reddy emphasized that the BJP’s success is continuing across the country. He noted that the party has won twice in Uttar Pradesh, three times in Madhya Pradesh, six times in Gujarat, and three times in Goa. He claimed that under Narendra Modi’s leadership, India’s economy is stable despite economic crises in neighboring countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. He also mentioned that India is now the fifth-largest economy in the world.
He further stated that Telangana is the only state left to adopt the “double engine” model. He criticized the previous BRS government for corruption and family rule and accused the current Congress government of failing to fulfill its promises. He urged BJP leaders to prepare for the next Assembly elections and aim to win 100 divisions in the GHMC elections.
