The Odisha Food and Craft Mela, organized by Soww Parivar, began at Shilparamam with a vibrant showcase of Odisha’s rich culture, food, and craftsmanship.
The event was inaugurated by notable guests, including former IAS officer BP Acharya, former NMDC director DK Mohanty, senior scientist Gagan Bihari Rout, Young Tinker Foundation CEO Anil Pradhan, and Keolis HR Head Reena Das.
The mela features more than 30 stalls displaying Odisha’s unique handloom and handicrafts. Artisans from remote areas of the state have brought their talents to the forefront, offering traditional items such as lakha, singha kama, dokra art, pipli applique work, and various sarees like sambalpuri, maniabandha, kotpad, and tussar.
Visitors can also enjoy cultural performances, including the graceful Odissi dance, energetic Sambalpuri performances, and colorful folk and tribal art forms. The event promises a delightful experience for all attendees.
