MLA Anirudh Reddy Denies Rumors About Secret Meeting, Focuses on Development
Jadcherla MLA Janampally Anirudh Reddy has dismissed rumors about a secret meeting of Congress MLAs. He clarified that it was simply a casual dinner gathering at Kohinoor Hotel. The meeting was mainly about discussing the allocation of funds for development projects in their respective constituencies.
Reddy pointed out that ministers were receiving more funds while MLAs were getting less. He expressed concern over this, stating that MLAs had made promises to their people about welfare and development. He emphasized the need for fair distribution of funds so they could fulfill their commitments.
Speaking about his own constituency, Reddy said he was seeking additional funds for the Udandapur Reservoir oustees. He reminded that the Congress party had promised higher compensation during the elections. He also highlighted the need for better infrastructure, such as rural roads and improved urban facilities, to support the growing population.
Addressing allegations from the BRS party, he accused them of exaggerating the issue and trying to damage the Congress party’s image. He assured that all Congress MLAs fully support Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who, despite financial challenges, has successfully implemented most of the party’s election promises. He also denied rumors that he had requested a particular file from the Revenue Minister, calling it a baseless attempt to harm his reputation.
Discussing the development work in Jadcherla, Reddy shared that seven new 33KV substations had been built to provide uninterrupted power to farmers and industries. He mentioned that ₹200 crores had been allocated for rural road construction, including the Nawapet to Dondlapally double road and other road projects in Midjil mandal. Additionally, ₹30 crores had been sanctioned for Jadcherla Municipality from the ₹70 crore Mahabubnagar Urban Development Authority (MUDA) funds.
Reddy criticized the previous BRS government for poor execution of the Mission Bhagiratha pipeline project. He claimed that ₹23 crores were wasted due to low-quality work, which now needs to be redone. He also alleged that corrupt officials in the previous government had illegally registered assigned and Bhoodan lands for real estate purposes. He vowed that the Congress government would investigate this and restore the lands to their rightful status.
Regarding the rehabilitation of Udandapur oustees, Reddy accused the BRS government of failing to provide compensation. He stated that after Congress came to power, they distributed the rehabilitation package, but some issues remained. He revealed that over 300 ineligible individuals had been wrongfully included under the previous administration. He assured that the government is reviewing these cases and that all deserving beneficiaries would receive their rightful compensation. He also mentioned that rehabilitation and relocation efforts are progressing quickly, and families will soon be shifted to newly developed colonies.
Anirudh Reddy reaffirmed his commitment to the development of Jadcherla. He assured that all necessary infrastructure projects, welfare measures, and compensation plans would be carried out transparently and efficiently.
