The Karkhana police in Hyderabad have arrested a housekeeper from Uttar Pradesh for theft. The police recovered ₹99,000 in cash and gold ornaments weighing 480 grams from him.
The accused, Aadesh Guptha from Maharajganj, Uttar Pradesh, was found in possession of stolen valuables. The recovered items included nine pairs of gold bangles, 16 gold chains, two gold rings, and cash amounting to ₹99,000. The total value of the stolen items was estimated at ₹35 lakh.
According to the police, Aadesh was working as a carpenter at the house of P. Sundaram in Gunrock Enclave. He found the keys to an almirah and, taking advantage of an empty house, used them to unlock the almirah and steal the gold and cash.
The North Zone police have urged the public to be careful when hiring workers. They advised people to gather detailed information about workers before employing them, secure their valuables properly, and report any suspicious activities in their neighborhood to the police.
