Police Seize 100 Smuggled Cattle in Asifabad
Chittaranjan police conducted raids on two villages on Monday and seized 100 cattle. They acted on a tip-off that a large number of cattle were gathered to be smuggled from the suburbs of Goigam and Chich Palli villages, near the Vankidi border.
To catch the culprits, the police, along with the ASP, arrived at the location in plain clothes. However, the smugglers had already received information about the police operation and quickly fled, leaving the cattle behind in nearby fields.
Despite this, the police raided three different locations and managed to seize around 100 cattle. Some of the animals were injured, and local veterinary staff provided treatment for them.
Several people have been taken into custody, and police are questioning them. The ASP also warned that strict action will be taken against those who illegally transport animals, violating government rules.
