Hyderabad: The State BC Commission Chairman, G Niranjan, along with other members, met Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Monday. The meeting took place at Mahatma Jyothiba Phule Praja Bhavan.
The visit followed the Commission’s tour of 10 united districts. Chairman Niranjan was joined by members Rapolu Jayaprakash, Tirumalagiri Surender, and Bala Lakshmi Ranga during the discussions.
Several issues were addressed during the meeting, including requests for changes in caste names and objections related to them. The Commission also highlighted the need for legal amendments to strengthen its authority.
The members stressed the importance of legislative changes to effectively implement policies aimed at supporting the Backward Classes.
