    Hyderabad: A one-man Commission that examined the sub-categorization of Scheduled Castes (SCs) in Telangana is set to present its findings to a Cabinet sub-committee on Monday.

    The Commission, headed by Justice Shameem Akhtar, a retired judge of the Telangana High Court, has studied the Supreme Court’s judgment on sub-classification within SCs. Its recommendations will now be shared with the sub-committee for further review and possible action.

    The Cabinet sub-committee is chaired by N Uttam Kumar Reddy, with Minister for Health Damodar Rajanarasimha serving as the co-chairman. Other members include Minister for IT D Sridhar Babu, Minister for Transport Ponnam Prabhakar, Minister for Panchayati Raj D Anasuya (Seethakka), and Nagarkurnool MP Mallu Ravi.

    The Principal Secretary to the Government’s Scheduled Caste Development Department acts as the convener for this committee, ensuring coordination between the members and the Commission.
