Fire Breaks Out in Residential Building at Hyderabad's Kishan Bagh Crossroads

Thick smoke filled the entire building, making it hard for the residents to escape. Struggling to breathe and find a way out, many rushed toward the ground floor but eventually had to move to the balcony, desperately calling for help.

Locals in the neighborhood noticed the trapped residents and acted quickly. They broke windows and used ladders to rescue the people inside. Their immediate response ensured the residents’ safe escape before the situation worsened.

The Kalapathar police and fire brigade arrived promptly after being alerted. Firefighters worked swiftly to evacuate everyone from the building. Thankfully, there were no casualties reported in the incident.

Officials are still investigating the exact cause of the fire. However, the fire department noted that the lack of setbacks around the building made it difficult for them to manage the situation effectively.

“We deployed five fire brigades to control the fire,” said K. Surender, Station Fire Officer at Chandulal Baradari. “The building lacked essential fire safety measures and setbacks, which are crucial during emergencies. After significant effort, we were able to bring the fire under control.”

The incident has raised concerns about fire safety measures in residential buildings in the area.
