Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy congratulated the Indian U-19 women’s cricket team for their incredible achievement of winning the ICC U-19 Women’s World Cup for the second time in a row. He praised their stellar performance in the final match and gave special recognition to Telangana’s own Gongadi Trisha for her vital contribution to the team’s success.
India claimed victory in the U-19 World Cup final held in Malaysia by defeating South Africa to secure the prestigious title. Gongadi Trisha, who comes from Bhadrachalam in the Bhadradri Kothagudem district, played a crucial role in the triumph. She showcased exceptional all-round skills with her aggressive batting and strong presence on the field. Her remarkable performance throughout the tournament earned her the Player of the Tournament award for scoring the highest number of runs.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy expressed immense pride in Trisha’s accomplishments, saying that young talents like her bring great honor to Telangana.
