Hyderabad: The Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute (BIACH&RI) has introduced the latest 4th generation DaVinci Robotic Surgery System. This advanced surgical system, which cost over Rs 10 crore to establish, will help perform surgeries with less pain and faster recovery for patients.

Later in the day, the hospital’s management and staff honored Nandamuri Balakrishna, the hospital’s Chairman, during a grand event held in the hospital’s auditorium. Speaking at the event, Balakrishna expressed his gratitude for the recognition. He noted that receiving the Padma Bhushan award was especially meaningful as it coincided with NTR’s birth centenary celebrations and the 75th anniversary of NTR’s contributions to cinema.

Balakrishna dedicated the prestigious Padma Bhushan award to his parents and expressed hope that NTR would soon be honored with the Bharat Ratna. He assured that, in line with his late mother’s vision, the hospital would continue to adopt advanced technologies to improve patient care. Despite the high cost of such equipment, he emphasized that treatment at the hospital would remain affordable.

He also highlighted the hospital’s achievements, stating that over 800 robotic surgeries had already been performed, a record in the country. Balakrishna thanked the donors, bankers, doctors, and staff members for their contributions in making this accomplishment possible.
