Complaint Filed Over Alleged Assault at Private School

In a notable incident, Kuruva Pallayya, the District Coordinator of BRSV in Jogulamba Gadwal, filed a complaint with the District Child Welfare Chairperson. The complaint concerned the alleged assault of a second-grade student, Virat Shankar, at Krishna Veni Private High School in Aiza Mandal.

Kuruva Pallayya strongly criticized the school’s management for its handling of the situation. He accused them of attempting to cover up the incident by placing the blame solely on the teacher involved and subsequently terminating her employment.

According to Pallayya, the root of the problem lies with the school owner, who allegedly pressures teachers to collect unpaid fees from parents. He argued that this excessive pressure created a stressful environment for teachers, leading to the unfortunate incident involving the student. He also accused the management of scapegoating the teacher to shield the school owner from accountability.

    Questioning the Role of Authorities

Pallayya also raised concerns about the response of the District Education Officer (DEO). He questioned the DEO’s authority in stating that the teacher was terminated, pointing out that the teacher is not a government employee. He demanded that the focus be shifted toward holding the school owner accountable instead of targeting the teacher.

    Call for Immediate Action

The BRSV District Coordinator urged the District Collector to take decisive steps against the school. He called for the cancellation of the school’s recognition and strict action against the management. Pallayya said the school was exploiting parents by charging high fees while failing to provide basic facilities, such as proper toilets for girl students.

He also alleged that the school was secretly running an unauthorized hostel without the necessary inspections from the Mandal Education Officer (MEO).

    Concerns Over Education Standards

Pallayya criticized the school for turning education into a business. He alleged that the management hires unqualified teachers at low wages, compromising the quality of education. He demanded immediate intervention to ensure justice for the students and prevent future incidents.

The complaint has raised broader concerns about the regulation of private schools in the district, with many calling for stricter oversight to prevent such occurrences.
