Hyderabad to Host Prestigious Telugu Literary Event
Hyderabad is all set to host an exciting literary gathering on Sunday, February 2, 2025. The event, organized by Yuvabharati Sahiti Samskritika Samstha, Navya Sahiti Samiti, and IIMC College, will take place at 6:00 PM in the IIMC College Auditorium, located near Telephone Bhavan and Bajaj Electronics in Lakdikapul.

Book Launch and Literary Discussions
One of the main highlights of the evening will be the launch of the book “Shata Jayanti Sahiti Moorthulu”, written by Acharya S.V. Ramarao, a retired Dean of Arts from Osmania University. The book will be officially unveiled by Dr. K.V. Ramana Chari, IAS (Retd.), a former advisor to the Telangana government.
The event will be presided over by Acharya Vangapalli Vishwanatham, the founder and convener of Yuvabharati Sahiti Samskritika Samstha. Dr. Acharya Phanindra, the president of Yuvabharati Literary and Cultural Organization, will provide a detailed review of the book. Notably, Navya Sahiti Samiti had earlier organized the first-ever conclave for women writers.

Staged Reading of ‘Sharada Vijayam’
Another exciting feature of the evening will be a staged reading of ‘Sharada Vijayam’. This unique performance, inspired by the Bhuvana Vijayam tradition, will be performed exclusively by female scholars and artists. It has been curated by Navya Sahiti Samiti as part of their efforts to promote Telugu literature.
The performance will include prominent participants like Dr. G.L.K. Durga, Dr. Uppalapati Kusuma Kumari, Smt. Srivalli Phanindra, Smt. Valluri Srimani, Smt. Manchinilla Saraswati Ramasharma, Smt. Gadicherla Sneha Ram Chander, and Smt. Mankala Lakshmi Manasa.
The writer of ‘Sharada Vijayam’ is Ogeti Indira, and the play has been extensively promoted by Vemaraju Narasimha Rao across the Telugu-speaking states. As Navya Sahiti Samiti marks its 73rd year, this literary performance symbolizes their ongoing commitment to celebrating Telugu literary traditions.
