Hyderabad: AICC Secretary SA Sampath Kumar has accused the previous BRS government of failing the Madiga community. He made this statement on Thursday while speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan.

The Congress leader criticized BRS leaders Harish Rao and KT Rama Rao for making false promises about delivering justice to the Madiga community. He said it was ironic and embarrassing that the earlier BRS regime did not take any action to implement the sub-classification of Scheduled Castes.

He further mentioned that the government would take steps for the SC sub-classification based on the report of a one-member commission working on the issue. Addressing Krishna Madiga, the founder of the Madiga Reservation Porata Samiti (MRPS), Sampath Kumar urged him not to worry. He reassured that the Congress government is fully committed to ensuring justice for the Madiga community.
