Congress MLC Candidate to Be Announced Soon
Minister Sridhar Babu has announced that the Congress candidate for the Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Adilabad, and Medak graduate MLC seat will be revealed in two to three days. The announcement comes after the current MLC, Jeevan Reddy, opted not to contest the election. Speaking to the media on Thursday, the Minister expressed confidence that the Congress party would win regardless of the candidate.
Efforts to Boost Investments and Employment
Sridhar Babu highlighted the government’s efforts to attract investments to Telangana, including his visit to Davos to secure major deals. The focus, he said, is on bringing industries and increasing job opportunities in the state. These efforts include expanding investments to smaller cities, in addition to Hyderabad.
He mentioned that the government implemented the MSME policy last year, which is aimed at supporting micro, small, and medium enterprises. This policy has been recognized across the country for its productivity-focused approach.
Support for Farmers and Women Entrepreneurs
The Minister also emphasized the introduction of agro-processing units to benefit farmers. He stated that the government aims to establish mini MSME industries for women’s groups in rural areas to promote financial independence and stability.
Discussing Innovative Products Like Deep Seek
Sridhar Babu spoke about the potential of a product called “Deep Seek,” which has garnered attention for its ability to attract significant investments with minimal costs. He noted that intellectual talent within the country will be encouraged to develop such innovative products.
Plans to Reopen Sugar Factories
The Minister announced plans to reopen sugar factories, targeting December 2025 for completion. Efforts are underway to restart the factories before the upcoming production season, with support from the Central government.
