Congress to Announce MLC Candidates Soon
The Congress party is expected to finalize and announce the names of its MLC candidates in the coming days. The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) has already sent a list of shortlisted candidates to the All India Congress Committee (AICC) for approval. The final decision will be made by the party’s high command.
During an informal discussion with the media at Gandhi Bhavan, PCC president B Mahesh Kumar Goud stated that the announcement would be made within three to four days. He added that the party will hold a meeting on February 3 to discuss the matter further.
In preparation for the upcoming local body elections, the party is speeding up the process of restructuring its organization and forming various committees. Mahesh Kumar Goud assured that these elections would only take place after increasing reservations.
He also mentioned that the caste survey has been completed successfully. A cabinet sub-committee is scheduled to meet on February 5 to review the survey’s findings and take further steps.
