During questioning, the suspects admitted to filling cheap liquor into branded bottles and selling them as high-end products. Acting on this information, the police raided a house in Sai Nagar, Ayyappa Society, Madhapur, and arrested three more individuals. During the raid, officers seized 14 bottles filled with cheap liquor and 63 empty branded bottles.

The arrested individuals were identified as Rudrapatrapp Routh, Satyaprakash Routh, Rinkujan, Manish, and Pawan, all hailing from Odisha. The gang had been collecting empty branded bottles, labels, and caps from events and bars. They filled these bottles with low-quality liquor and sold them at a discounted price of ₹16,000, tricking customers into believing they were getting premium alcohol, which typically costs ₹25,000.
