BJP MP Dr. K Laxman Condemns Revanth Reddy's Remarks Against PM Modi

BJP MP and national OBC Morcha chief, Dr. K Laxman, has strongly criticized Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for comparing Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the historical figure Mohammad Ghazni. Dr. Laxman called the remarks an example of degenerate politics and cheap rhetoric. He accused the Congress party of abandoning “India First” in favor of “Family First,” in contrast to Prime Minister Modi, who he said upholds the values of Mahatma Gandhi.

In his response, Dr. Laxman highlighted that Mohammad Ghazni, known for plundering India, destroying Hindu temples, and erasing cultural heritage, represents a dark chapter in history. Comparing him to Prime Minister Modi, who has worked to restore India’s spiritual and cultural pride, is deeply offensive, he said. Dr. Laxman pointed out Modi’s efforts in restoring monuments like the Somnath Temple and the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, as well as the rebuilding of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir, as examples of the government’s dedication to honoring Hindu cultural heritage.

Dr. Laxman emphasized that under Modi’s leadership, the country has prioritized the preservation of Hindu traditions and sacred sites. He added that these efforts are a historical turning point, aimed at reclaiming India’s spiritual identity and showcasing its cultural richness on the global stage. Comparing such restorative work to the destructive actions of Mohammad Ghazni, he argued, is both inaccurate and a disrespect to Hindu dharma.

The BJP leader further criticized Revanth Reddy, calling his comments a disgrace to Indian culture. He stated that the Chief Minister’s words insult Hindu traditions and hurt the sentiments of millions of people. Dr. Laxman accused the Congress party of betraying Gandhi’s principles, favoring foreign companies over the Swadeshi ideals promoted by Mahatma Gandhi, and engaging in caste-based politics for political gain.

Dr. Laxman also pointed out that Congress has historically contradicted Gandhi’s teachings, citing the Emergency of 1975 as an example of how the party trampled on democratic freedoms. He contrasted this with the BJP’s approach, which he said is rooted in Gandhi’s values of peace, non-violence, and national development.
