KT Rama Rao Criticizes CM Revanth Reddy for Unfulfilled Promises

Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) criticized Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Monday for repeatedly changing his statements regarding the implementation of the Rythu Bharosa scheme for farmers. KTR accused the Chief Minister of postponing deadlines and failing to deliver on his promises.

Drawing a comparison to a character from the movie Aha Naa Pellanta, KTR likened Revanth Reddy’s behavior to that of the character Kota Srinivasa Rao, who deceives others by pretending to serve chicken curry while showing a hanging chicken. KTR remarked, “Revanth Reddy is doing the same. He made 420 promises and claimed he would implement all schemes within 100 days of coming to power. It has been 14 months, and he continues to speak lies without shame.”

KTR also pointed out inconsistencies in Revanth Reddy’s statements about Rythu Bharosa. He alleged that within a span of 15 minutes, Revanth made two conflicting announcements—one saying the scheme would be implemented the next morning and another setting a new deadline of January 31. KTR claimed these contradictory statements were made solely for election purposes.

The BRS leader further accused Congress of making numerous empty promises, referencing various guarantees and declarations issued by the party. “They gave SC, farmer, BC, and student declarations, and even made affidavits on bond papers to convince people. They swore to implement six guarantees in 100 days and distributed guarantee cards. Like heirs of Joseph Goebbels, they spread lies widely,” KTR stated.

KTR also criticized Congress leaders for mocking the state government’s claims of attracting investments. He referred to Congress sending “Eno” packets to digest the news of the government securing Rs 1.78 lakh crore in investments from Davos. KTR dismissed the claims, saying, “We would be the happiest if the government actually managed to secure this much investment. However, the reality is that they couldn’t bring a single investment to the state. Even the Rs 42,000 crore investment claim made in 2024 was fabricated.”

In his remarks, KTR continued to question the sincerity of Congress’s promises while accusing them of misleading the public with false narratives.
