Four Arrested in Major Job Fraud Scheme in Hyderabad
A team from the Commissioner’s Task Force in Hyderabad has arrested four individuals involved in a large-scale job fraud. The accused cheated 13 job seekers out of ₹26.25 lakhs by promising them high-paying jobs in reputed software companies. The suspects, identified as Gaddapolla Pavan Kumar (34), Boga Revanth (39), Bapatu Rajiv Reddy (32), and Sakkinala Sudheer (39), issued fake job offer letters as part of their scam.
The arrests were made after the Task Force North Zone team, working with the Marredpally Police, gathered credible intelligence on the operation. During the raid, officials seized ₹5,67,000 in cash, three fake job offer letters, and five mobile phones, all worth around ₹6 lakhs.
Investigations revealed that the group operated a well-organized scheme. Pavan Kumar acted as the mastermind, recruiting Revanth to pose as an HR manager and interact with job seekers. For each candidate he convinced, Revanth reportedly received ₹10,000.
Sakkinala Sudheer, who previously worked at a job consultancy, played a crucial role by collecting resumes from job aspirants and sending them to Pavan Kumar in exchange for money. Pavan Kumar then created fake email accounts resembling well-known companies and sent fraudulent job offers. Rajiv Reddy assisted by helping draft these fake communications.
The scam came to light after job seekers, realizing they had been duped, filed complaints with the authorities. The Task Force’s swift action led to the arrests of the suspects, who now face charges including cheating and conspiracy.
Police have urged other victims of this fraud to come forward to assist in the ongoing investigation.
The operation was led by Inspector Sri K. Saidulu and a dedicated team from the North Zone Task Force and Marredpally Police. Their efforts underline the authorities’ resolve to tackle job fraud in the region.
