As promised earlier, these welfare schemes were formally launched on Republic Day in 563 selected villages across all mandals of the State. Lakhs of people started receiving benefits immediately after the launch. The schemes aim to provide financial assistance, ration cards, and housing for those in need.

Under the Rythu Bharosa scheme for farmers, the government provided an investment assistance of Rs. 6,000 per acre as the first installment. On the first day alone, Rs. 569 crore was deposited into the accounts of 4,41,911 farmers across 563 villages in 32 districts. The scheme covered 9,48,333 acres of farmland.

For the first time, the government introduced the Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa scheme to support landless agricultural laborer families. On the first day, Rs. 6,000 was deposited as the first installment into the accounts of 18,180 families. A total of Rs. 10.91 crore was allocated for this scheme.

The long-standing demand of Telangana residents for new ration cards was also addressed. The government issued 15,414 new ration cards in 531 villages on the first day. This benefited 51,912 family members, and over 1.03 lakh additional members were registered on existing ration cards. Subsidized rice distribution for these families will begin in February.

Additionally, the government resolved applications for adding family members to old ration cards, which had been pending for years. A total of 1,02,000 cardholders applied to add new members, and the issue was resolved swiftly.

In another significant move, the government sanctioned Indiramma Houses for 72,000 poor families. These families were handed over documents for their new homes, fulfilling a critical need for housing.

The swift implementation of these schemes marks a significant step in improving the lives of farmers, laborers, and underprivileged families across Telangana.
