The Collector highlighted the state government’s efforts to uplift women through various initiatives. He mentioned programs like providing two sets of school uniforms to students annually and the allocation of 7,000 houses under the Indiramma Housing Scheme, aimed at improving living standards. Women’s groups will also be supported with brick manufacturing units for constructing these houses.

He further noted that banks are providing financial assistance to women’s self-help groups. The government is also helping them establish solar units, poultry, and fish farming businesses to increase their incomes. Other schemes like free bus travel for women, ₹500 LPG cylinders, and up to 200 units of free electricity are being implemented to empower women and reduce their financial burdens.
