Jadcherla MLA Plans ₹70 Crore Initiative to Upgrade Government Schools

Jadcherla MLA Janampally Anirudh Reddy has announced a major initiative to improve government schools in his constituency. Over the next two years, ₹70 crore will be invested to upgrade school infrastructure and facilities.

The announcement was made during a motivational program for 10th-grade students on Wednesday. Reddy revealed plans to use Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds from industries in the Polepally SEZ to support the project.

To kickstart the initiative, a special meeting has been scheduled for January 28. The meeting will bring together industry representatives and education officials to discuss fund mobilization and outline a comprehensive development plan.

Reddy highlighted the urgent need to improve basic infrastructure in schools, such as buildings, furniture, and essential amenities. He acknowledged that while government schools have skilled teachers, the lack of proper facilities often limits students’ progress.

“The total requirement for infrastructure development is ₹70 crore, and getting this amount solely from the government is difficult. That’s why we are partnering with industries through CSR to make this transformation possible,” Reddy explained.

The MLA also shared details of previous efforts to support students in the constituency. This year, all students received BATA shoes, and he announced plans to distribute school bags and water bottles in the next academic year.

Addressing the students, Reddy emphasized the importance of 10th-grade education in shaping their future. To support their studies, digital content books for subjects like Mathematics, Physics, Biology, and Social Studies are being given free of cost to students in grades 8, 9, and 10.

Reddy took the opportunity to criticize past administrations for neglecting the welfare of schoolchildren and misusing CSR funds. “This is the first initiative of its kind, focused on the complete development of government schools. Within two years, we will ensure all schools have the necessary facilities,” he stated.

The event, held at Prem Ranga Gardens, was attended by education department officials, school principals, and other dignitaries.

    Ends.
